Onboard Computing Lead

About Your Work:

  • Lead the design, build, and test of all on-board computing systems for Locomation’s ARC product.
  • Hire, lead, and manage a team to successfully execute development, testing, production, and in-service monitoring and support.
  • Work with autonomy, embedded systems, and software engineers to understand compute loads, algorithms, and performance requirements.
  • Work with hardware engineers to understand size, weight, power, and environmental requirements.
  • Work with safety engineers to understand safety, reliability, and traceability requirements.
  • Build an advanced heterogenous architecture that matches requirements to processing nodes, IO, and peripherals.
  • Select vendors and component suppliers and lead the integration of components into prototype and production ECUs.
  • Work with Locomation leadership to plan for compute capabilities in future product lines.

About You:

  • B.S. in electrical/electronics engineering, computer engineering, or similar field.
  • Direct experience leading design and development of automotive computing platforms, preferably for autonomous vehicle or advanced ADAS applications.

Nice to Haves:

  • Broad understanding of the automotive computing ecosystem, including trends in vehicle networks and interfaces, software architectures, tool vendors, etc.
