Project Manager

About Your Role:

  • Work closely with the leadership to prepare and maintain automated driving technology and product development schedules, resource allocation plans, and budgets.

  • Engage with key stakeholders and all team members to build and maintain a strong rapport. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization. Building and maintaining a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and rapid feedback.

  • Work with the engineering, safety, and business development teams in breaking up product roadmap milestones into releases, decomposing the work into a cohesive plan using AGILE best practices.

  • Identify inter-dependencies in the engineering teams tasks, clarify task prioritization, and coordinate resource allocation. Driving improvement to the project key process indicators (KPI’s).

  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings to track progress in cross-functional teams using SCRUM values.

  • Work hands on with engineering managers to proactively identify obstacles/blockers and rapidly remove them maintaining a high momentum development environment.

  • Assess and capture project risks and issues. Develop mitigation strategies and communicate status to senior leadership and project stakeholders.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a technical program/project manager or engineering manager in a hardware-software product development environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in full lifecycle project and product management.

  • Degree in project management and/or engineering, or the equivalent industry experience.

  • 4+ years experience with Systems Engineering processes working with customers to gather and develop requirements.

  • 4+ years experience with AGILE development methodology as well as traditional waterfall methods in product development. Able to integrate change management and process improvements into the fabric of the organization.

  • 4+ years experience with project management tools, like the Atlassian Suite, Asana, Clarizen, Trello, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide coaching and leadership across all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves:

  • Have worked at an autonomous vehicle start-up.

  • Have experience working with automotive or similar industry standards.

  • PMP, Scrum Master certification.
