Simulation Software Engineer

About Your Role:

  • Build and manage simulation scenarios to support the development of Locomation’s ARC technology.

  • Work with vehicle test engineers and drivers to translate real-world events into simulated scenarios.

  • Work with autonomy engineers to integrate simulation into the algorithm and software development process.

  • Work with DevOps engineers to incorporate simulation into regression and release testing pipelines.

  • Work with simulation vendors to evaluate and adopt new simulation products as they emerge.

  • Work across “traditional” simulation on local workstations and new and emerging cloud based tools.

About You:

  • 3+ years in a software engineering role.

  • Strong skills in either C++ or Python. Preferably both.

  • Hands-on experience with one or more automotive simulation products (e.g. CarSim/TruckSim, CARLA, etc.).

  • Familiar with MATLAB & Simulink.

  • Familiar with new and emerging simulation standards (e.g. OpenDRIVE and OpenSCENARIO).

  • Familiar with relevant regulatory test scenarios (e.g. Euro NCAP, IIHS, and FMVSS tests).

Nice To Haves:

  • B.S. or M.S degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure, e.g. AWS or Google Cloud.

  • Experience with container technologies, particularly Docker.

  • Experience with git version control.

  • Comfortable using Linux & Windows.
